"Turbo" wrappers. Chapter 3. #53. Lincoln Continental

American Luxury.

Very nice wrapper in green & brown colors. Fresh as just after rain. Wet asphalt with reflection and grass hills on the backstage. The picture presents American Luxury Life. The life we all in SU had dreamt these hard days.
Car felt very comfortable & soft. I used to imagine how it would be great to sit on the rear place and travel by great American roads, looking at endless fields & hills.

The plot "VIP car"

The wrapper wasn't rare at all. And usually every collector has 2-3 such wrappers for change. But the picture was really nice and attractive, so everyone loved #53 for touch of American Luxury.

What about the car itself.

It's the Seventh generation (1982–1987) of Lincoln Continentals. More correctly is 1984 facelift variation. The car was based on Ford Fox platform as a lot of other Ford Motors vehicles (f.e. Ford Mustang). It's the compact midsize platform with front engine and rear drive.
Most interesting design attribute for me was the tail that is going down. Now I know the proper name of this design - "bustle-back"
