Just Kadett

What do you think when see that car on the street? Just the ordinary 80s hatch... Nothing more. There's no any surprize to see Kadett E in USSR cities of the 90s. The wrapper itself wasn't rare, nice nor interesting. It was usual, evenmore it was banal. As if now you'll see the wrapper with ...Lanos or Logan ... or Nexia.

Long life Kadett!

In 1985 Kadett E became the "Car of the Year" in Europe. And it was the last generation of famous name Kadett. From Mark A to Mark E, from 1937-40 and again during 1962-1991 it was one of the most significant players on European market. As first generation that gave the roots for Moskwitch 401 (first car for ordinary USSR people), the last generation survived rebirth too. Daewoo Nexia from Uzbekistan is nothing more then facelifed Opel Kadett E sedan.

What about the car itself

Wrapper presents GS-i version, performing 110PS from 1,979L. I think they had ment 110kW (150PS). That engine called C20XE is native for GS-i. The engine well known in motorsport also... The motor is so interesting so I'm interesteted in it now. F.E. it coudld be combined with Sierra Gearbox...)
